Supporting Essential Work

As another year comes to an end, it isn’t uncommon to reflect on how grateful we are for everything that has transpired over the past year. This means different things for different people, but I know my family has been reflecting on the many good things that have happened and how we can give back in ways that are meaningful to us. When thinking about how to give back, one of the first things we did was make a donation to Archway, because that is how much I believe in the work we are doing at this great organization.

As the Director of Philanthropy at Archway Communities, I’m incredibly grateful that each day I get to interact with funders, donors, partners, and community members to talk about the great work our teams do at the community level to make life better for our nearly 1,600 residents. It’s not surprising that we are all passionate about making affordable housing more accessible across the state, but I’m grateful that we are actually doing the hard work to make that happen.

During this time of year, we are all accustomed to hearing from philanthropy directors about the need for donations to make essential work happen across the globe – but it’s true. We need our community to continue to support us so we can keep doing the vital and important work of developing affordable housing that is paired with supportive services designed to help our residents thrive. Housing should be a right and not a privilege, and together we can make that a reality for the thousands of Coloradans struggling each and every day to maintain a safe and accessible place to live for themselves and their families.

We set a lofty goal of $25,000 this year – higher than we have ever aimed before. We set our goal high because we know we need it, and we know you, our supporters can help us get there.
