Rachel Armstrong is the Family Services Coordinator at Villa Verde. She helps residents with meeting their goals by working with them on government assistance programs, food bank, and with classes centered around life skills. She also runs an after school kid’s program aimed at improving social and emotional well-being as well as just having fun! Prior to Archway, Rachel volunteered with AmeriCorps at La Puente Home for the PALS children’s program, where she worked with kids who have experienced trauma, to improve their social and emotional skills through fun and creative programming, after school and on field trips. Rachel has her Bachelor of Arts in Public Health. In her free time, Rachel enjoys rock climbing, music and reading!
What Home Means to Me
Home is a space where I feel safe and comfortable to be myself. I feel most at home when I am surrounded by a supportive and loving community whether that is family, old friends, or new ones like the incredible residents I get to work with here at Villa Verde.
