Julie Spires
Julie Spires is the Supportive Services Coordinator at Foothills Green. In this role, Julie helps residents with case management, runs three food banks each week, leads youth and adult programming at Foothills Green & Cornerstone and oversees the Archway Thrift Store. Prior to Archway, Julie has an exciting & varied job history within the nonprofit sector. She spent a few years working in the education department in Natural History Museums and zoos in Oklahoma and Colorado, running programs for visitors and field trips. She then transitioned to being the Youth and Family Programs Coordinator at the Pikes Peak YMCA, and ran youth programming for children of all ages. Julie has her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology, with a focus on Archeology and her Master of Arts in Museum Education, both from the University of Oklahoma. Outside of work you can find Julie defending her crown in fantasy football, hiking across Colorado, one trail at a time, trying to find “passable Texas BBQ” in this state, and traveling.
