Emily Thatcher is a Resident Care Coordinator at Flats at Two Creeks. Her responsibilities include connecting residents to resources in the community such as assistance with food, clothes, health and financial assistance, as well as helping with maintaining independence (due to age), skill building, and working toward building a close community. Prior to Archway, Emily initially worked in hospitality but quickly developed a love for caring for others with physical and mental health issues after working as a prep cook in a nursing facility. She has also worked in crisis mental health (with youth, adults, and elderly), skilled nursing facilities, and private homes. She found Archway after COVID-19 displaced her from her job at Colorado Access (SEP) and Senior Resource Center. Emily has her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Criminal Justice. Outside of work, Emily loves to try new things and to learn. Some of her hobbies include gardening, cooking, singing, dancing, hiking, fishing, swimming, herbalism, painting, video games, metaphysical things, language learning, exploring new places, and taking care of all her animals (1 dog, 3 cats, 1 crested gecko, 1 Russian tortoise, 3 rabbits, 2 guinea pigs, and 11 chickens)!
What Home Means to Me
A place or group of people where you feel safe and supported. At home I am free to be myself no matter how eccentric or silly that may be.
